More than 10 people died and 11+ were injured as two major passengers trains collided in northern India on Wednesday, 20 October, 2009.
India Media said, rescue operations were under way and officials feared the death toll would climb. It was not clear how many people were trapped in the wreckage. Both trains are stopping in Mathura right now.
A witness said that one of the train driver changed tracks at the last minute. Another witness described the massive thud when the trains collided and passengers on upper berths came flying down.
